Application of electromagnets
Electromagnets are used in many situations where a variable magnetic field is needed quickly or easily. Many of these applications involve the deflection of charged particle beams, as in the case of the cathode ray tube and the mass spectrometer.

Applications of electrochemistry
Electrochemistry studies the chemical changes that produce an electric current and the generation of electricity through chemical reactions. It is for this reason that the field of electrochemistry has been divided into two major sections. The first of these is Electrolysis, which refers to the chemical reactions that are produced by an electric current. The other section refers to those chemical reactions that generate an electric current, this process is carried out in a galvanic cell or cell.
